Frequently asked questions

Buying a pump online raises a few reasonable questions. Here are the ones we're asked most, grouped by what you're trying to work out.

Choosing the right pump

6 questions
What types of pumps do you sell online?

Pumptastic stocks more than 3,000 water pumps and parts for homes, farms, pools, mine sites and commercial buildings across Australia. Popular ranges include pressure boosting pumps, submersible bore pumps, sump and drainage pumps, hot water circulator pumps and chemical dosing pumps, plus controllers, pressure tanks and spare parts.

Which pump brands do you stock?

We sell genuine pumps and parts from Grundfos, Davey pumps, Onga, Tsurumi, Ebara, ITC, ASM Pumps, Helix Hydro, Filtaworx and Matelec, alongside our own Pumptastic range. See every range on our pump brands page.

Are your pumps suitable for residential, commercial and industrial use?

Yes, and the range is split by duty. Homeowners usually need a Grundfos CMB pressure pump, pool pump or rainwater pump. Farms and irrigators buy bore pumps, irrigation filters and dosing pumps. Commercial and industrial sites use Grundfos SEV sewage pumps, multistage booster sets and Tsurumi drainage pumps for continuous duty. Tell us the application and we will point you to the right grade, not the most expensive one.

Do you sell brands like Davey, Grundfos, Onga or Lowara?

Yes, Davey, Grundfos and Onga are core brands we stock online. Grundfos is generally stronger on energy efficiency and variable-speed control, while Davey is Australian-designed with good local parts support; our Davey vs Grundfos comparison helps you choose. Lowara is not one of our main online ranges, so if you are replacing a Lowara pump, send us the nameplate details and we will quote it or match an equivalent on flow and head.

Can I get help selecting the correct pump size or model?

Yes, and it is free. Call (08) 6384 5884, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, or send us your details. To size it properly we need your water source, the flow you need in litres per minute, the height and pipe distance to the outlet, your power supply, and a photo of the old pump's nameplate if you are replacing one. Want to work it out yourself? Use our pump sizing guide.

Do you sell spare parts and accessories?

Yes. We stock pump capacitors, Grundfos spare parts, pressure tanks, pressure transducers, float switches, pump controllers, ball valves and stainless steel fittings. Replacing a failed capacitor or pressure tank is often far cheaper than a new pump. Match the part or product number on your old component, or send us a photo and we will find the right one.

Prices and payment

3 questions
Are your pump prices the same online and in-store?

Pumptastic is an online pump store, so the price on our website is the price you pay: shown in Australian dollars, GST included, with free standard shipping on orders over $100. Many pumps are listed below the manufacturer's recommended price, so check the best sellers for current savings. Buying several pumps or supplying a project? Call (08) 6384 5884 to ask about pricing on larger orders.

What payment options are available online?

Our checkout accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay and Shop Pay. Payment is taken at checkout and your order is confirmed by email straight away, so you can shop pumps and parts and pay in one step without waiting for a quote.

Is it safe to order a pump online from your website?

Yes. Pumptastic runs on Shopify's secure checkout, so your connection is encrypted and card payments are processed by Shopify's PCI-compliant payment system rather than stored by us. We are a real Australian business at 7 Hampton Street, Greenfields WA, and you can reach our team by phone on (08) 6384 5884 before or after you buy. Our shipping and returns terms are published in full so you know exactly what to expect.

Delivery and pickup

3 questions
How long does it take for my pump to be delivered?

Please allow around 5 to 7 business days for delivery to most Australian locations, with remote and rural areas taking a little longer. Standard shipping is free on orders over $100, and orders under $100 have a flat $20 fee including GST. Heavy or oversized pumps may need extra freight, which we always confirm with you before dispatch. See our delivery and shipping page for full details.

Do you offer express shipping or local pickup?

Yes, express delivery is available by quote. Call (08) 6384 5884 with your postcode and the pump you need and we will price it through Australia Post Express or Toll. This is the best option if your pump has failed and you are without water. Local pickup is not available through online checkout, but if you are near Greenfields WA, call us to check whether collection can be arranged for your order.

Can I track my pump order online?

Yes. Once your order ships, we send you the tracking details so you can follow the delivery with the carrier, usually Australia Post or Toll. If tracking has not updated or you need to change the delivery address, email hello@pumptastic.com.au with your order number or call (08) 6384 5884 and we will sort it out. Visit our delivery page for more on shipping.

Warranty and service

3 questions
Do your pumps come with a warranty?

Yes. Every new pump carries the manufacturer's warranty, and the length depends on the brand and model, so check the product page or manufacturer documentation for your unit. This is on top of your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Warranty claims go smoothly when the pump was correctly sized and installed, so ask us before you buy if you are unsure it suits your application.

What is your return or refund policy?

Orders cancelled within 24 hours of purchase are fully refunded. To return an item, email hello@pumptastic.com.au first for instructions. Items must be brand new, unused and in their original packaging, return shipping is paid by the customer, and approved change-of-mind refunds incur a 20% restocking fee. Check your delivery on arrival and report any damage within 7 days with photos. Faulty products are handled under the Australian Consumer Law. Read the full returns policy.

Do you offer pump repair or servicing?

We specialise in supplying pumps and genuine parts rather than on-site repairs. Many pump faults are fixed with a single part, such as a replacement capacitor, pressure switch, service kit or pressure tank. Send us a photo of the nameplate and describe the fault, and we will help identify the part you need. If repair costs more than replacement, we can recommend a new pump to suit the same job.
