View full detailsIf your bore, dam, river or recycled water supply is destroying your sprinklers, choking your drippers or sandblasting your pumps, you do not need more downtime you need a Filtaworx automatic screen filter. Pumptastic is the Australian Filtaworx supplier delivering the full range on sale right now, with free shipping nationwide on orders over $100. From the compact 50mm FW050 all the way up to the heavy-duty 350mm FW350, every unit is engineered, built and tested in Melbourne, then shipped straight to farms, mines, councils, vineyards and irrigation contractors from Perth to Cairns.
Australian water is brutal. Iron oxide, fine silica, algae, calcium scale and organic debris will shred a poorly specified filter inside a single season. Filtaworx solves that with a fully automatic, self cleaning screen filter that uses your own line pressure to flush itself clean no operator, no production losses, and no compromise on downstream flow.
Filtaworx is one of the most technically innovative self cleaning filters available anywhere in the world today, and the genius of the design is in what it leaves out. There is no external motor, no gearbox, no PLC drama and no expensive power feed required for the hydraulic DP models. The escaping backflush water itself rotates the internal cleaning mechanism inside the vessel, slashing the number of wearing parts to a minimum and pushing reliability well beyond traditional brush, disc or basket filters.
You also get a wider effective screen area than any comparable filter, a full micron range from 50 to 800 micron, and 316 stainless steel screens that can be swapped on site if your water quality changes seasonally. That is why Filtaworx specifications appear in tenders for municipal water authorities, mine site dewatering projects, dairy washdown, broadacre irrigation, drip-fed orchards and turf farms across every state.
The Hydraulic DP Rinse Controller triggers the self cleaning backflush cycle automatically the moment a pressure drop of 40 to 50 kPa is reached across the fine screen. Cleaning is 100 percent every square millimetre of screen surface is scoured with a high velocity, aggressive suction-jet backflush and the cycle finishes in around 5 to 7 seconds using only 20 to 30 litres of water. Filtration continues uninterrupted while the cycle runs, so your irrigation block, cooling tower or process line never sees a drop in supply.
Pumptastic stocks the complete Filtaworx catalogue from DN50 to DN350. The FW050 50mm handles 230 to 410 LPM and suits boutique vineyards, livestock troughs and market gardens. Step up to the FW080 and FW100 for serious centre pivot, lateral move and sprinkler block applications. The FW150, FW200, FW250, FW300 and flagship FW350 pushing up to 15,000 LPM are the workhorses of mine dewatering, industrial cooling and large scale horticulture. You can choose hydraulic DP rinse control for sites with no power, or the 240V AC electric controller when you want integration with SCADA, fertigation controllers or remote monitoring. Maximum working pressure is 1000 kPa, minimum line pressure is 200 kPa, and every unit ships with stainless steel internals and corrosion resistant components as standard.
Picking the correct size and screen micron is the difference between a filter that runs invisibly for a decade and a system that floods the bunding fortnightly. The four numbers that matter are maximum flow, minimum line pressure, total suspended solids loading and the smallest emitter or nozzle downstream. A Filtaworx automatic screen filter is a fully automatic, self cleaning water filtration vessel that uses a precision 316 stainless steel mesh screen to remove sand, silt, algae, scale and other suspended solids from raw water. Filtaworx is designed, built and tested in Melbourne, Australia, and the range covers sizes from DN50 (2 inch) up to DN350 (14 inch) for industrial, municipal, mining and agricultural applications.
Raw water enters the inlet, passes a coarse screen that knocks out large debris, then flows through the fine screen where suspended solids are captured. Once the pressure drop across the screen reaches 40 to 50 kPa, the controller opens the flush valve to atmosphere. The resulting suction jet vacuums dirt off the fine screen while the escaping water spins the internal cleaning mechanism no external motor, no power required for hydraulic DP models.
Drip irrigation typically requires 120 to 200 micron, sprinkler systems 200 to 500 micron, and process or cooling applications anywhere from 50 to 800 micron depending on tolerance. Filtaworx screens can be swapped on site, so the same vessel can serve multiple seasons or applications.
The hydraulic DP rinse-controlled models need no external power all functions are driven by line pressure only. If you need SCADA integration, remote monitoring or scheduled flush cycles, choose the 240V AC electric controller version.
Minimum line pressure is 200 kPa (30 psi) and maximum working pressure is 1000 kPa. Maximum working water temperature is 65°C.
The full Filtaworx range starts at FW050 (50mm, 230–410 LPM) and steps up through FW080, FW100, FW150, FW200, FW250, FW300 and FW350 (350mm, 230–15,000 LPM). Both BSP and flanged connection variants are available depending on model.
