One blocked dripper, one fouled nozzle, one clogged heat exchanger and your downtime bill blows past the cost of a proper filter within a single shift. The Filtaworx Automatic Self-Cleaning Screen Filter range solves that problem at industrial scale, and at Pumptastic we ship the full Online Series Australia-wide – from 100mm right up to 450mm, rated to 10 Bar and flow rates between 40 and 1400 m³/hr. If you are managing bore water, river extraction, recycled effluent or pressurised mains supply, these filters keep your system running while you sleep.
Filtaworx is engineered for the abrasive, sediment-heavy water sources that define Australian conditions – the iron-rich bores of Western Australia, the silt-laden Murray-Darling, the sandy aquifers of the Pilbara, and the recycled water used by councils from Perth to Brisbane. Each filter uses a stainless steel screen with micron ratings tailored to the application, paired with an automatic backflush cycle that triggers on either a differential pressure signal or a programmable timer. The result is continuous flow with zero manual cleaning, no production line shutdowns, and no operator climbing inspection ladders at 5am to scrape mesh by hand.
When suspended solids accumulate on the inner surface of the stainless screen, the pressure differential between inlet and outlet rises. Once the preset threshold is hit, a focused dirt collector sweeps across the screen surface, drawing debris through a flush valve while the filter remains in service. The entire backwash cycle uses only a fraction of the system flow and takes seconds, not minutes. There is no downtime, no isolation valves to close, no bypass required. The screen is permanent, the cleaning is automated, and the controller can report cycle counts back to your SCADA system.
The Pumptastic Filtaworx range covers 100mm, 150mm, 200mm, 250mm, 300mm, 350mm, 400mm and 450mm inlet diameters, with Extended Area (EX) variants delivering greater dirt-holding capacity per cycle for sites with heavy sediment loads. Flow rates begin at 40 m³/hr for the FW100EX-EL and climb to 1400 m³/hr on the FED450 electric drive model. Every unit is rated to 10 Bar working pressure, runs on 240V AC where electric controls are specified, and ships with a parallel inlet/outlet configuration to simplify pipework retrofits on existing installations.
The Online Series gives you three control philosophies. The Electric Drive (FED) range uses a geared motor to rotate the dirt collector and is favoured for sites with reliable 240V supply and remote SCADA integration. The Electric Control (EL) models combine electric solenoid valves with hydraulic actuation for a robust mid-range option. The Hydraulic Control (HV) range removes electricity from the equation entirely – ideal for paddock pumps, bore heads and off-grid sites where power is unreliable. Each model is also available with a Pressure Sustaining Valve (PSV) to maintain upstream pressure during the flush cycle.
These filters protect drip and pivot irrigation across grain, citrus, viticulture and horticulture operations. They safeguard heat exchangers and cooling towers in mining and processing plants. They polish pre-treated water in council-run municipal networks. They sit upstream of reverse osmosis, ultrafiltration and chlorination plants. If you run a water pump and pressure tank system on your property, a Filtaworx unit installed before your pressure vessel will extend the life of your impellers, mechanical seals and electrical components dramatically. Compared with a submersible pump pulling raw bore water, a screen-filtered setup typically pays for itself in the first season through fewer pump rebuilds and far fewer emergency callouts.
Pumptastic stocks more than 3,000 pump and parts SKUs and dispatches Filtaworx units Australia-wide via Australia Post with free shipping on orders over $100. Our Perth-based pump experts have specified screen, brush and disc filters into farms, mines and water authorities for years. We also supply the Filtaworx semi-automatic brush filter range and the Filtaworx automatic brush filters when high organic load demands a brush-style cleaning action.
