The Signal WEL-FW-B FrostWatch Temperature Sensor is an outdoor frost-detection device designed for integration with Signal SDS Series Two-Wire Irrigation Controllers. It monitors ambient air temperature in frost-sensitive areas and provides an open/closed switch signal through a compatible SD-DN-SW DataNode, allowing the SDS controller to respond automatically to low-temperature events. Depending on the programmed irrigation logic, frost detection can be used to pause normal irrigation schedules, initiate protective watering cycles, or generate system alerts. Supplied with its own plug-in power adaptor, the WEL-FW-B is well suited to agricultural, turf, and commercial irrigation sites where frost protection is an important part of system management.
