Grundfos SP 5A-4 is a stainless-steel submersible borehole pump designed for pumping clean water from deep wells and boreholes. It can be installed vertically or horizontally, and all wetted parts are made from EN 1.4301 (AISI 304) stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance. The pump carries drinking water approvals (ACS, DM174) and is ideal for domestic, agricultural, and community water supply systems. This model is fitted with a robust 0.37 kW MS402 (1‑phase RSIR) motor with sand shield, lip seal, water-lubricated journal bearings, and a volume-compensating diaphragm for long service life. It is a canned-type submersible motor offering good mechanical stability and high efficiency, designed for direct-on-line (DOL) starting. Suitable for liquid temperatures up to 40 °C. Thermal protection is internal, and a Pt1000 sensor can be added if temperature monitoring is desired.
