Grundfos SEG.50.40.EX.2.50B Submersible Pumps

Grundfos SEG pumps are designed as submersible pumps with a horizontal discharge port, specifically for the pressured pumping of wastewater resulting from toilet discharges. These pumps are a part of the SEG series. They are equipped with a grinder system which allows the pump to grind destructible solids into small pieces so that they can be carried through small piping systems.

The pump’s surface is smooth to ensure ease of cleaning and to prevent any dirt from accumulating. It is primarily made of Cast Iron. The SEG pump is equipped with a grinder system that cuts destructible solids into tiny pieces so that they can be easily transported through relatively small pipes. The clamp which secures the motor and the pump is made of stainless steel to assist in preventing corrosion and ease of servicing the pump. The power cable of the pump which comes with thermal sensors for the motor winding also has incorporated wires. The pump’s power cable connects to the pump in a plug form. The plug form connection is completely sealed. The plug prevents the pump from being able to be damaged through moisture, safeguard the pump from moisture in the event of cable damage, mishandling, or negligence to the pump.

The operation of the pump requires connection to a controller and a barrier that is intrinsically safe, for example, LC-Ex4 which is supported by Grundfos A/S.

VTT has approved the pump in accordance with the ATEX directive.
