Grundfos SEG.50.31.EX.2.50B Submersible Pumps

Grundfos SEG pumps are classified as submersible pumps which have a horizontal discharge port. the SEG pumps are equipped with a grinder system. The system enables the pump to handle destructible solids by grinding them into small pieces. This allows for the waste to be transported through narrow pipes.

The outer surface of the pump is crafted to be smooth to simplify the cleaning process. The pump casing is primarily made of cast iron. The stainless steel used for the clamp also allows for corrosion resistant servicing. The pump power cable contains thermal sensor wires for the pumps motor. The thermal sensors are housed in the pumps motor windings. The oil-proofed motor power cable and plug connection ensures breakage or careless handling will not lead to the entrance of moisture into the pump.

As other pumps, the SEG must be connected to a controller together with an intrinsically safe barrier, for example, LC-Ex4 supported by Grundfos A/S.

VTT has approved the pump in accordance with the Atex directive.
