Grundfos SEG AUTOADAPT pumps are designed for lifting and discharging wastewater from toilets using pressurized submersible pumps with a horizontal port. The SEG AUTOADAPT pumps are equipped with a grinder system for the disintegrating sharp grinder type which shreds destructible solids to such a degree that they can be easily transported through narrow pipes.
To avoid contamination, the surface of the pump is smooth without any textures. The primary material of the pump is cast iron. The pump features a stainless steel cover for the motor that acts as a pump clamp. This provides corrosion resistance as well as ease of servicing the pump. The thermal sensors for the motor winding are incorporated into the wires of the pump power cable. The pump’s power cable comes with a combined plug and cable solution. The pump features a completely sealed plug connector that keeps moisture out of the pump, even in the case of the cable breaking or rough handling.
The SEG AUTOADAPT series of Grundfos pumps feature integrated motors sensor-protection, and controller. Only mains supply connection is required. In case of installing multiple pumps in a singular tank, the control logic built into the pump is smart enough to ensure balanced distribution of the pump workload over time.
1. Output for alarm relay.
The pump has relay output for alarm. Output of NC and NO can be used for visual or acoustic signaling devices.
2. In case of power cut, random start delay is enabled.
3. The pump has a safety feature that verifies correct phase sequence before starting.
4. The pump resets its parameters and calibrates itself after a complete cycle.
5. The pump has an anti-seize protection feature.
The anti-seizing feature ensures the pump is permitted to run and is started at set intervals to ensure the impeller does not seize. For the Ex versions, this is valid only as long as the dry run sensors are submerged.
For changing pre-set values, further configuration, or reading from the logs, the Grundfos CIU unit can be connected permanently or temporarily to the system. It can also be used to read the operating parameters such as starts, operating hours, etc.
