Grundfos SEG.40.09.EX.2.50B Submersible Pumps 96075898
The Grundfos SEG pumps are submersible pumps horizontally discharging and are meant for pressurized pumping of waste water from toilets. Pumps of the SEG type have grinders and therefore are capable of pumping waste solids that have been ground to a slurry-like consistency through narrow pipes.
To avoid the accumulation of dirt and other impurities, the surface of the pump is made smooth. The pump structure is predominantly of cast iron. For the sake of avoiding corrosion, and for easy servicing of the pump, the clamp which secures the motor to the pump is made of stainless steel. The pump's power cable contains strands for the thermal sensors measuring the motor's winding temperature. The pump's power cable uses a plug type connection. The pump's plug connection, which is totally sealed, prevents moisture ingress through the cable due to the cable breaking or rough handling of the pump cable.
The pump must be connected to a controller together with an intrinsically safe barrier e.g. LC-Ex4 sponsored by Grundfos A/S.
VTT has issued an approval for the pump under the ATEX Directive which is the reason for the approval logo on the pump.
